Abstract

The article presents data on changes in the microbiological state of the developed feed mixtures from fodder barley and corn grain and a number of fruit and vegetable components in different concentrations. The work was carried out in the laboratories of the Department of Grain Storage and Processing Technology and the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Plant Physiology of the Uman National University of Agriculture, as well as the Department of Grain Storage and Processing of the National University of Agriculture. The aim of the work was to study changes in microbiological indicators of feed mixtures during their storage. In freshly prepared products and during their storage for 30 and 60 days, the following microbiological indicators were studied: total number of microbial cells (MAFAM, CFU/g); presence of paratyphoid group bacteria (salmonella); the presence of enteropathogenic strains of Escherichia coli (BGKP, CFU/g), the presence of anaerobes. The test samples were stored in conditions accepted in the practice of compound feed plants, at a temperature of 0 °C and +20 °C, which corresponds to the winter and summer periods. The relative humidity of the air was 70...80%. It was noted that the indicators of the total number of microbial cells for all samples of extruded feed products do not exceed the permissible norms (no more than 5105 CFU/g). The authors noted that during the storage of feed mixtures the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms increases by 15-40 times, but does not exceed the limit norms for feeds 5105. Also, during the storage process, the humidity of extruded mixtures increases due to the sorption of moisture from the air. Thus, the developed extruded feed mixtures do not acquire toxic properties during storage for two months, the total number of microbial cells for all samples does not exceed permissible norms. Therefore, they can be used for fattening farm animals throughout the entire storage period.
